Composed of 9 wooden shapes, 3 wooden bases, and 18 double-sided cardboard squares, this educational toy is designed to familiarize children with the connection between concrete three-dimensional geometric shapes and the two-dimensional shadows they project.

This toy can be purchased in the child's first year, at which time they can be given just the wooden cube, cylinder, cone and pyramid in a basket. Exploration of these prisms will be their first experience in geometry and a wonderful opportunity for accurate language.
